Strawberry Margaritas are the perfect cocktail to serve at your next summertime party or gathering of friends and family.

The sweet and tangy taste of strawberries, combined with the sourness of lime juice and the kick of tequila, make this drink one you’ll want to sip on all season long, whether it’s made with frozen berries or fresh ones! Here’s how to make this delicious and refreshing cocktail in 7 easy steps.

Step 1 – The Ingredients

Things you’ll need include: strawberries, Tequila, Cointreau or Triple Sec, fresh lime juice and ice. As it happens, each ingredient plays an important role in making one of America’s favorite margaritas.

Start by muddling 8-10 quartered strawberries with 2 ounces of tequila and 1 ounce of cointreau or triple sec and then let that sit for at least 20 minutes.

Step 2 – Separate your ingredients into two containers

one for liquids and one for solids. Combine 1⁄4 cup of strawberry puree and 1⁄2 cup of lime juice with 3 ounces of gold tequila in one container. Stir well and set aside. Combine 1⁄2 cup fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon agave nectar, 2 tablespoons orange liqueur (optional), and ice cubes in your second container.

Put lid on tightly and shake vigorously until blended together. When you’re ready to serve your drink combine both containers by placing 3-4 ice cubes from your solid container into a glass, pour your liquid ingredients over these ice cubes, then carefully drop in frozen strawberry pulp from your solid container as desired. Serve immediately with a straw!

Step 3 – Add Water and Ice

Now that you have your slushy mix, it’s time to add water and ice. Pour around half of your mix into your blender.

Add 2 cups of water and 5-6 ice cubes and blend until smooth. This should only take about 1 minute. Taste and add more water or ice cubes if desired. Once you reach your desired consistency, pour it into your glass of choice and enjoy!

Step 4 – Pour Liquor into Mixer

Pour tequila, Triple Sec and lime juice into your mixer. Whisk it gently, then pour it into your glass filled with ice. Add a little more Triple Sec for flavor and color if you like it sweeter. Stir gently one more time, then serve! You can also use different liquors or add other fruits or juices as you like! Enjoy!

Step 5 – Twist the top off the Tequila Bottle

Before starting, take one shot of Tequila. This will settle your nerves and give you courage. You’ll be amazed at how much more fun it is when you aren’t so tense. At night, always remember to put on an emergency foil tent (don’t forget that!); we can also create emergency drinks (punch from a loaf of bread) if necessary.

Remember to have FUN! Oh yea…this is really exciting!!!! I love drinking!! Take a deep breath, open up your heart and pour out some love for me and my friends…Mmmm…that’s good.. It tastes even better when served up with an attractive person. Drink responsibly!!

Step 6 – Add Tequila (Shaken, Not Stirred)

To finish off your homemade strawberry margarita, add an orange wedge for flavor and presentation. This simple addition will add an essential citrus note to your summer cocktail that compliments its strawberry base.

To get fancy, use a zester or peeler (also called channel knife) on your orange to create long shreds of zest. Your friends will be impressed! Enjoy with friends and family on those hot summer days!

Step 7 – Garnish with Orange Wedge

A fresh orange wedge is an excellent way to finish off your drink. Cut 1/2 inch slices from both ends of a fresh orange, then cut it into 8 wedges (in half from top to bottom). Push each wedge down on one side of your glass as you would a cocktail umbrella.

If you have trouble prying them out, gently hold onto each wedge as you tap around its edge with a butter knife. Your finished margarita should look like it came straight out of Tommy’s Tacos! Enjoy!

Final Word

If you want the perfect summer cocktail, look no further! There’s nothing better than a strawberry margarita on a sunny day. And now, it couldn’t be easier to make one at home.

You can even make it in a big pitcher for a party or family gathering! With this drink, your friends will never have to worry about getting thirsty again.
